The Seanad welcomed another new member, Paschal Mooney (FF, agricultural panel).

Committee changes were announced:

The Dail concluded second stage debate on the Civil Partnership Bill on 27th January and referred it to committee.
The Finance Bill, 2010, implementing the financial decisions of the 2010 budget, began debate on 9th February and passed on 10th March.
The Civil liability (good Samaritans and volunteers) Bill, was introduced in the Dail on 2nd March by Billy Timmins (FG, Wicklow)
