The Minister of State at the Department of Health & Children, Barry Andrews confirmed to Bobby Aylward (FF, Carlow Kilkenny) that he had discussed, with charitable and non-governmental organizations, the idea of a hotline for missing children along the lines of those operational in some European states (Dail Eireann, Debates, 24th March 2010, 476).
