2 News: Advisory group on tax,welfare

The Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton, told Joanna Tuffy (Lab, Dublin MW) and Patrick O’Donovan (FG, Limerick) of the progress of the advisory group on tax and welfare (Dail Eireann, Debates, 23rd January 2013, 560-2).  So far, it had met 22 times and had made a report on family and child income supports in 2012 which she would bring to the cabinet in the near future and hoped to publish.  She also intended to publish its report on the 2012 budget proposals on disability allowance and domiciliary care allowance.  The group was currently considering social insurance cover for self-employed people, working age income supports and the interaction of the tax and welfare systems.  The membership is:
