Activation, child and family supports reviews completed

The Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton, told Brian Stanley (SF, Laois Offaly) that an advanced draft of the review report on activation schemes was completed by the end of March (Dail Eireann, Debates, 1st May 2012, 685).  It had gone to the department’s policy committee before going to senior management in the department.  It had been carried out by an Assistant Principal Officer under the direction of a Principal Officer.  It included Community Employment, which was also subject to separate financial review.

Meantime, the minister told Patrick Nulty (ind, Dublin W) that the advisory group on tax and social welfare had completed its examination of child and family income supports, was currently receiving consideration and it was her intention to publish in due course (Dail Eireann, Debates, 17th May 2012, 823).
