The Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs Pat Carey told Brian Hayes (FG, Dublin SW) that there were ‘on-going discussions’ with the Department of Finance about the setting up of a new Charities Authority and he hoped to make progress in the coming months (Dail Eireann, Debates, 7th December 2010, 403).
