Dormant accounts

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government Phil Hogan told Maureen O’Sullivan (ind, Dublin C) that he had allocated €5.456m under dormant accounts in 2014 through Pobal, of which €2m would be allocated to labour force activation measures in the local authorities (Dail Eireann, Debates, 25th March 2014, 426-430).  Organizations would be able to apply once an action plan was approved later this year following a consultation process between government departments and Pobal.  He listed €1.543m allocations under the socio-economic advantage category for 2013, showing funding for 93 voluntary and community organizations in the range from €100 (Suir CDP) to €1.23m (Mitchell’s Integrated Services Centre).
