Funding of CDPs and LCDP
The Minister for Community, Equality & Gaeltacht Affairs, Pat Carey gave details to Maureen O’Sullivan (independent, Dublin C) of funding for the Community Development Programme in 2009 and the Local & Community Development Programme in 2010, including allocations to individual projects in tables (Dail Eireann, Debates, 7th October 2010, 944 – 951). In 2009, €19.8m was provided for 180 CDPs with 350 staff. In 2010, funding of 160 CDPs with 290 staff was provided within the LCDP, with €11.8m allocated for the first half of the year, anticipating an annualized cost of €19m. Funding for partnerships was €49.224m in 2009, with funding for the first half of this year €17.253m.
