National Advocacy Service

The Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton, outlined the progress of the National Advocacy Service (NAS) for people with disabilities (Dail Eireann, Debates, 12th July 2012, 747).  This was allocated a budget of €3.2m in 2012 and is now managed by five Citizen Information Services in Clondalkin, Dublin; Westmeath; Offaly; Waterford; and Leitrim and is staffed with five managers, 35 advocates and five administrators.
